FIELD: electrochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for electrochemical treatment of solutions. Electrochemical reactor is made from one or more through electrochemical modular cell placed in housing 1 s, each including vertical cathode 6 installed in centre of housing, ceramic diaphragm 7 mounted around it, equally spaced from cathode opposing electrodes - anodes 5 arranged around cathode with diaphragm with formation of electrode pairs of “cathode-anode” type. Cathode cross-section is equilateral polygon with number of sides from 3 to 12, wherein opposing electrodes are made in form of bodies, each of which has plane parallel to face of cathode, which forms with plane of electrode pair of “cathode-anode” type. Opposing electrodes can be made in form of plates or in form of bodies of polyhedron. Formed thus electrode pairs enable maximum current density, as a result of working current generated in reactor, will have high value.
EFFECT: technical result is increase of efficiency of reactor at simultaneous increase of its reliability, reduced power consumption in process.
