SUBSTANCE: proposed support insulator has load-bearing insulating body, tracking-resistant protective shell with ribs 2, and metal flanges 1 installed on both ends of insulator. Insulator load-bearing body is made in the form of fiberglass plastic insulating stick 3 and metal power tube 5 connected thereto through nonsplit joint.
EFFECT: enhanced mechanical and electric bending and torsional strength, enhanced stiffness at minimal size and mass.
