FIELD: power engineering; polymeric support insulators for high-voltage apparatuses.
SUBSTANCE: proposed insulator has glass-reinforced plastic stick 1, tracking-resistant shielding enclosure 2, and end terminals 4 made of composite polymeric material. Stick 1 is secured within end terminals 4 by means of adhesive mass incorporating graphite or roving in its composition. End terminals 4 and adhesive mass are current-conductive components. Inner cavities of end terminals 4 have longitudinal recesses and flange part has vertical taper projections. Outer surface of end-terminal flange part has material excisions and stiffening ribs.
EFFECT: reduced material input and insulator mass, reduced manufacturing cost.
