FIELD: nuclear energy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear power engineering. Method of producing container for transportation and storage of spent nuclear fuel includes manufacturing of container body. Formed cavity is filled with neutron-protective material. In mold inner part of container housing is installed cylinder. External part of body is attached to its inner bimetallic part by shrinkage. Shrinkage occurs during solidification of liquid metal (molten iron), heat sink elements are clamped (cast) between outer surface of inner housing and inner part of outer surface of housing.
EFFECT: invention improves manufacturability of container, reduce human and financial costs of its production.
