FIELD: nuclear physics and equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in nuclear power engineering for storage and transportation of spent nuclear fuel and other radioactive materials. Housing of container for transportation and storage of spent nuclear fuel includes cast housing with internal seating surface for cover and neutron protection. Neutron protection is made in form of neutron-protective barrier from material with melting point higher than melting temperature of material of housing and coefficient of heat conductivity not less than that of cast housing material, and forms a solid wall, which prevents free passage of neutrons in radial directions.
EFFECT: improving manufacturability of the manufacturing.
