FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of porous glass ceramics. Method comprises first determining mineral and chemical composition of feedstock, temperature for beginning of swelling thereof when heated, swelling temperature interval and hardening temperature of pyroclastic state. Initial raw material is dried and subjected to mechanical activation by fine grinding to particle size of 0.2 mm. After mechanical activation using turbo blade mixer-granulator of periodic action, granules with diameter 0.5-6.0 mm are prepared. Resulting granules are heated to swelling temperature, then temperature is lowered to hardening temperature of pyroclastic condition of material. After isothermal holding at hardening temperature of pyroclastic state, controlled and then an active uncontrolled cooling of material is carried out. Raw material for a porous glass ceramic according to first embodiment is loess-like loam.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of density of granules and providing uniform closed porosity of glass ceramics.
