FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ammunition, particularly to armour-piercing projectiles. Armour-piercing projectile comprises a body with a master and armor-piercing core in bottom of body. Body is connected to hollow head sleeve. Body and hollow head bushing are made from metal alloy and form a cavity above armour-piercing core, in which there is an insert. Insert is made from fluoroplastic-containing material. Between insert and armour-piercing core there is a gasket made of light alloy. Spacer bottom surface is conjugated with upper part of armour-piercing core, and top surface is conjugated with base of insert.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of projectile.
