FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to medical psychology, and can be used for determining degree of psychogenic pain intensity in structure of chronic pain syndrome of various aetiologies. Patient undergoes a session of psychophysiological self-regulation using empathetic therapy. Before and after said chronic pain intensity value is determined at face scale of Wong-Baker with subsequent determination of difference in obtained values, designated as Delta. During the session by tactile palpation trigger points are searched corresponding to a certain disease, and zones of the reflected pain with subsequent tactile effect on the detected zones and points, and in the absence of pain in the specified points and areas the session of psychophysiological self-regulation empathetic therapy is completed. If the Delta equals to 0-1 points, the psychogenic pain in structure of chronic pain syndrome is absent, Delta value of 1.1-3 points means mild pain intensity in the structure of chronic pain syndrome, if the Delta equals to 3.1-7 points it means a moderate degree, if the Delta equals to 7.1-9 points this means strong degree and Delta exceeding 9.1 points means psychotogenic pain of unbearable strong degree in the structure of chronic pain syndrome.

EFFECT: method enables determining the degree of psychogenic pain intensity in the structure of chronic pain syndrome of various aetiologies for adequate psychotherapy using empathetic psychophysiological self-regulation methods.
