METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF ANALGESIC EFFICACY OF ANTICONVULSANTS BY TRIPHOSADENIN INFUSION IN ONCOLOGICAL PATIENTS WITH INTENSE PAIN Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61M5/00 A61K31/7076 A61P29/00

Abstract RU 2814528 C1

FIELD: medicine; oncology.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for prediction of analgesic efficacy of anticonvulsants by triphosadenin infusion in oncological patients with intense pain. A patient with pain intensity of 4 points and more on a verbal-digital scale is infused with triphosadenin in amount of 35–45 mcg/kg/min for 110–160 min. In 30 minutes after the end of the preparation administration, the pain intensity is re-evaluated by the verbal-digital scale. If pain intensity is reduced by 2 points and more, high efficacy of gabapentin is predicted, and if there is no reduction in pain intensity, low efficacy of gabapentin is predicted.

EFFECT: method increases accuracy of prediction of analgesic efficacy of oral administration of gabapentin in a specific oncological patient with high or moderate pain with underlying application of non-selective cyclooxygenase inhibitor and weak opioid due to intravenous infusion of triphosadenin.
