METHOD OF PREDICTING RISK OF DEVELOPING NEUROPSYCHIATRIC COMPLICATIONS CAUSED BY DENTAL TREATMENT IN PATIENTS Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61B5/16 A61C19/04 A61B5/488

Abstract RU 2648875 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to dentistry and psychoneurology. Define the violation of neuromotor regulation of the chewing muscles of the patient by surface electromyography in the resting state of the jaws and their arbitrary compression. Evaluating the synchronism and symmetry of the electromyographic signal, one of the 3 pathological patterns characterized by such kinds of electromyograms as tremor-shaped and volley-shaped electromyograms, as well as bioelectric silence, is determined. They also use a questionnaire, each of which is assigned the appropriate number of points. In presence of one of the three revealed pathological patterns corresponding to the violation of neuromotor regulation of the masticatory muscles, and also depending on the total number of points on the questionnaire, the risk of development of psychoneurological complications caused by dental treatment in patients is predicted.

EFFECT: method allows to increase the accuracy of predicting the risk of developing neuropsychiatric complications caused in patients by dental treatment by determining the violations of neuromotor regulation of the masticatory muscles and conducting psychological testing on the questionnaire.
