FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is used in electrical engineering and electrical machine building. Magnetoelectric generator protection system against short circuit comprises an actuator coupled to magnetoelectric generator, each phase of which is connected to neutral conductor through switch, current sensors, pressure sensors and temperature sensors are electrically connected to control unit, phase and neutral wires, circuit breakers and load. Temperature sensors are mounted directly in recess on each magnetoelectric generator winding phase, and active elements of temperature sensors are in direct contact with insulated conductors magnetoelectric generator windings. Disconnectors of phases and neutral wire are made in form of thermoresistors with possibility of forced opening. Magnetoelectric generator is made with such inductive resistances, where short circuit current does not exceed two nominal currents with current density of short circuit in magnetoelectric generator windings not more than 30 A/mm2. Control unit is configured to output signals to drive. Also disclosed is a method of controlling magnetoelectric generator protection system against short circuits.
EFFECT: technical result is longer operating life of stator winding, higher reliability and fire safety of magnetoelectric generator at its minimum weight and dimensions.
