FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing an agent from Astragalus membranaceus roots having adaptogenic action. The said method is characterised by performing the ultrasonic extraction of crushed plant material with 55-65% ethyl alcohol in the ratio of material:extractant of 1:(8-10) for 20-30 minutes; further, extracting the plant material twice with the same extractant in the ratio material:extractant of 1:(18-20) at 85-90°C for 80-100 minutes; combining and concentrating the alcohol extracts; drying and grinding the thickened extract.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain an agent with a more pronounced adaptogenic action than its counterparts due to the higher content of active ingredients.
