FIELD: radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used to determine position of mobile objects. Label memory, instead of coordinates of its installation, may include record of a unique number, correspondence between unique number and coordinates of installation can be stored a database. In addition to information on coordinates of installation, wireless label memory or database contain any necessary information. Wireless labels used can, for example, be active and passive RF1D labels installed in asphalt concrete coating, at different structures of objects. Using signals of two or more wireless labels, speed and direction of movement of mobile object can be determined or accuracy of determining location can be improved. Modification of said method is a method wherein moving object is fitted with a wireless label with a unique number, and on territory, intended for determination of location, readers are installed then, when mobile object is in zone of readers, its location is determined.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of accuracy of determining coordinates.
