FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to materials for solid-state indicators of UV radiation. Photochromic luminescent glass contains europium oxide Eu2O3 in concentration of 0.43-0.49 % (wt) and lithium tetraborate Li2B4O7 (balance). Glass intensely luminesces when exposed to ultraviolet (UV) radiation and almost instantly changes colour when intensity of UV radiation changes. Glass can be used in simple indicators near and middle UV-range, as well as in selection of light sources.
EFFECT: technical result of invention is creation of photochromic luminescent glass having bright colour and enables to determine presence and assess intensity of UV radiation.
