FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical and laboratory equipment, specifically protective devices with enhanced functionality for syringes. Protective device with enhanced functionality for syringes comprises a support body, which is equipped with a through-hole for insertion of protective cap of a syringe needle. Support body has at least one flat surface, which is located on opposite side relative to surface for insertion of protective cap into a hole for closed contact of said support body with a bearing surface. Surface, which lies opposite said flat surface is equipped with a retaining ring raised and passing along the perimeter. Said hole has a diameter which is considerably greater than the diameter of a central section of said protective cap, and significantly less than the diameter of an end section of said protective cap at needle insertion end. Circular ledge is made around said hole. Circular ledge extends from surface for insertion of protective cap. Method of removing cap from a syringe needle using said device includes steps of: holding said device with one hand; holding said syringe with another hand and inserting said needle with a connected safety Cap into said hole so that protective cap protrudes from end of device, opposite insertion end; gripping protective cap with fingers from end opposite insertion end and removing, while holding syringe by hand, the needle from protective cap. Method of refitting cap onto syringe needle using both hands by means of said device includes steps of: placing said device with a protective cap fitted in hole on a bearing surface, the flat surface facing upwards, and said protective cap protrudes upwards from hole; device is gripped by one hand using protective cap and said cap is put onto a syringe needle using the other hand; syringe needle is inserted into said protective cap; needle closed by the cap is placed into a container for sharp wastes. Method of refitting cap onto syringe needle with only one hand using said device includes steps of: placing device with a protective cap fitted in hole on bearing surface, the flat surface facing the bearing surface, and said protective cap protrudes upwards from said hole; gripping said syringe with one hand and inserting said needle into said protective cap; using one hand to lift device from bearing surface so that said protective cap protrudes from flat side; gripping said protective cap by one hand and inserting said syringe needle into said protective cap using the other hand; placing needle closed by said cap into a container for sharp wastes.
EFFECT: object of present invention is providing a protective device with enhanced functionality for syringes, which has a simple design, is easy to use, cost-effective and has stable positioning on a bearing surface, even if the needle is attached to devices with needles, and is refitting a cap onto said needle with only one hand.
