FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method for synthesis of zero-valence nanoparticles of transition metals - iron, or cobalt, or palladium, or manganese, or platinum with a covalently modified by organic functional groups surface includes a recovery of aqueous salt solutions of corresponding metals by borohydrides of alkali metals, followed by an in situ reaction with water- or aqueous-organic solutions of arene-diazonium salts.
EFFECT: invention allows to simplify production of nanoparticles of zero-valence metals, to protect the obtained nanoparticles against oxidation during storage in the air and in case of use at a temperature of up to 250°C.
