FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed are system and method of calibrating of assistance set during reverse movement with trailer attached to vehicle. Method includes practically straight forward movement of vehicle at rate exceeding threshold value, measuring vehicle yaw speed and measurement of angle of trailer coupling. For determination of angular velocity on basis of measured value of coupling angle yaw sensor continuously measures yaw speed and coupling angle sensor continuously measures value of coupling angle. Controller also detects deviation of measured value of coupling angle from actual angle of coupling with virtually zero values of yaw speed and angular velocity, or if they remain unchanged.
EFFECT: technical result is provision of efficient and intuitively clear functional assistance means in vehicle with trailer reverse movement.
