FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: system to render help at reverse of a vehicle with trailer contains a trailer with a braking system, a steering input device and a controller. The steering input device provides a trajectory with the desired curvature for the trailer. The controller generates a steering command for the vehicle and an activation command for the braking system to direct the trailer along the path with the desired curvature and to reduce the backward travel distance to reach the path with the desired curvature. The steering command and the activation command are configured to allow a trajectory with the desired curvature to be achieved by the first trailer at substantially the same backward travel distance as for the second shorter trailer.
EFFECT: simplification of a vehicle with a trailer movement.
