SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, to potato farming, namely to method of potatoes breeding by green grafts, and can be used in seed breeding and selection of potatoes. Disclosed is method of potatoes breeding by green grafts having high viability. Method involves treatment of grafts with aqueous solution of biologically active substance - hydrogen peroxide with concentration of·5-10-5-1·10-3 M (1.7·10-3-3.4·10-2 g/l). Prior to planting into soil grafts are soaked in water solution of hydrogen peroxide and then overground grafts surface is treated.

EFFECT: method significantly increases viability of cuttings-increases plant survival rate after freezing and in conditions of moisture deficit, accelerated root formation and increased content of chlorophyll.
