FIELD: computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering. Method for encoding video data, determining an intra-prediction mode of current video block; determine most probable mode (MRM) for predicting a current video block, MPM are intra modes associated with relevant adjacent video blocks encoded before current block; MRM generated list based on position corresponding to adjacent video blocks associated with MRM; appoint an index to each of MRM in list without resorting MRM is listed on basis of MRM mode index; and intra-coded data block of current mode, including when one of MPM is consistent with intra-prediction mode for current block is coded data which are consistent MRM index in list, in encoded bit stream.
EFFECT: technical result is to increase computational efficiency of video encoding device by reducing complexity of coding process.
