SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an absorbent product (1), such as diaper pants, hygienic pants or pants used for incontinence, wherein product has a multilayer lateral seam. Absorbent product (1) includes front part (2), rear part (3) and perineal portion (4). Side sections (21, 22, 31, 32) of front part (2) and rear part (3) are laid on each other so that their inner surfaces face each other and are connected to each other along side seams (7, 8) passing in longitudinal direction (y) of product. Side sections (21, 22, 31, 32) of front part (2) and/or rear part (3) include at least one layer of non-woven material (9), which is reinforced in zone of at least one of side seams (7, 8).

EFFECT: absorbent product comprises at least one additional layer (9', 9") non-woven material, which is obtained by bending of layer of non-woven material (9) of side sections (21, 22, 31, 32) of front part (2) and rear part (3) thereon.
