FIELD: mechanisms.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of gear wheels, mainly with a pair of reinforcing ring pads. Method involves separate production of wheel body with rim and pair of ring pads with further rigid connection of latter on teeth ends of toothed rim. When making annular plates, through holes are made therein, longitudinal axis of symmetry of which coincide with end axes of symmetry of wheel teeth. Wheel body with ring gear is installed horizontally. One of annular plates is aligned with teeth of wheel with rim. Plate is pressed to ends of wheel teeth. Holes in plates are filled with metal powder. Zones of holes in plates are treated with an inductor, bringing powder to molten state, then inductor is removed and, after melt hardening, wheel body with ring gear and fixed on rim annular plate are turned by 180° to repeat same operation on second side of toothed rim wheel and second annular plate.
EFFECT: higher reliability of gear wheel due to mounting plates.
