FIELD: machine engineering.

SUBSTANCE: gear wheel consists of a body in the form of a disc and a gear rim with teeth, which ends are provided with pair of circular straps. On the circumference of the body, in the areas of gear rim teeth recesses, along the entire thickness of the body, there are radially oriented cuts. Side surfaces of each cut are conjugated with side surfaces of teeth, bottom of each cut is perpendicular to body ends. There are through rectangular holes in body parts between adjacent cuts oriented parallel to the body ends and perpendicular to the axes of symmetry of teeth under which they are provided. The holes are arranged symmetrically with respect to the body ends, the top of each hole coincides in plan with the circle of the gear ring base, bottom of each hole is conjugated with bottom of adjacent cuts. The cavities of through holes are filled with inserts, for example, made of plastic.

EFFECT: lower costs of gear wheel production.
