SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering, and more particularly to chain drives. Wedge chain transmission includes pulleys fitted with bands, detachable rings, fixing ring, coupling bolts, as well as chain. Sleeves have conical and cylindrical working surfaces of grooves. Brake shoes of chain interact with conical surfaces of bands, and plates together with them act on cylindrical parts of grooves.
EFFECT: longer service life.
