FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to general machine building, and more specifically to chain gears design. Wedge-type chain consists of identical plates, rolls and brake pads with one-sided outer obliquity rigidly mounted on rollers. Between pads adjacent sections located above chain longitudinal axis, passing through rollers axes minimum gap is made. Each pad side edges, below longitudinal axis, are made at angles, providing required chain bend on pulley. Tops of these angles are located above chain longitudinal axis.
EFFECT: achieved is design simplification.
