FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: demountable roller chain consists of solid or hollow cylinders and the same plates with lugs, forming a joint with them. The rollers at the ends have a projection with the height, determined by the expression: 0<s≤0.5(t-d), where: d - diameter of the roller in the hinge area; t - chain pitch. The shape and dimensions of the other projections are carried out arbitrary. The plate lugs have the shape and size of the projection of roller ends with projections and provide easy assembly and disassembly of the plates on the rollers. As a result, the noise level is reduced, and the longevity of chain increased.

EFFECT: formation allows seamless assembly and disassembly of any part of the chain circuit without the use of complex instruments.
