FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, particularly to traumatology and orthopedics. External fixation apparatus is applied upon forearm and hand. By graduated distraction, or after osteotomy surgery, gradual reposition of bone fragments and their fixation with additional clamps is performed for period required for synostosis. At that, immediately after restoration of anatomic proportions and position of radial bone relative to ulnar bone, gradual distraction is performed of soft tissues surrounding wrist joint and forearm joints, in direction opposite to initial position of wrist and forearm. Tissue is made stabilised in extended position for 2 weeks. Then apparatus is removed and intensive development of motions in wrist joint and forearm joints is performed.
EFFECT: method reduces tissue injuries, improves functional results, reduces length of treatment.
