SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in mechanized and automatic welding and overlay welding of metal parts under water. Proposed powder wire for underwater welding of steels with first version consists of steel shell and charge containing rutile concentrate, hematite, iron powder, ferromanganese, nickel, alkaline metal complex fluoride and polytetrafluoroethylene in following proportions, wt%: rutile concentrate 23-42; hematite 18-27; iron powder 28-42; ferromanganese 5-9; nickel 3-5; alkaline metal complex fluoride 3-15; polytetrafluoroethylene 3-15. Flux cored wire for underwater welding of steels as per second version consists of steel shell and charge containing rutile concentrate, hematite, iron powder, ferromanganese, nickel, alkaline metal complex fluoride and carbon tetrafluoride in following proportions, wt%: rutile concentrate 23-42; hematite 18-27; iron powder 28-42; ferromanganese 5-9; nickel 3-5; alkaline metal complex fluoride 3-15; carbon tetrafluoride 3-15.
EFFECT: proposed powder wire make it possible to improve quality of weld and reduces formation of gas pores in underwater welding.
