FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in underwater wet mechanized and automatic welding and surfacing of metal parts. The flux-cored wire consists of a nickel sheath and a powder charge, with the following content of its components, wt.%: rare earth metal oxide 10–35, rare earth metal fluoride 12–38, complex alkali metal fluoride 3–6, nickel 30–45, chromium 8– 18, molybdenum 3–7, manganese 4–8, aluminum 2–4, titanium 2–4. The wire has a heavy slag system of oxides and fluorides of rare earth metals, which effectively isolates the weld pool from water and reduces the formation of defects. The alloying system of the wire makes it possible to obtain in the weld a deposited metal with a highly austenitic microstructure, which has high strength and prevents the formation of cold cracks at the weld boundary when welding high-strength bainitic steels.
EFFECT: obtaining high-quality welded joints of high-strength low-alloy steels in underwater wet welding.
