FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to separation of valuable material from waste material in mixtures, such as wastes of flotation process. Method of extraction of minerals from tailings of flotation process comprises: providing a device for collecting functionalised synthetic material, comprising a plurality of molecules having a functional group for collection of mineral particles of interest to surface of collection device; and bringing device to collect contact tailings with mineral particles of interest including tailings of flotation process, wherein functional group is intended to make device surface for collecting hydrophobic, and wherein synthetic material is selected from a group consisting of a derivative of siloxane, polydimethylsiloxane and polysiloxanes of hydrophobically modified ethyl hydroxy ethylcellulose. Method is carried out using a system consisting of a collection processor operable to receive flotation tailings with mineral particles; and at least one device for collection, housed in collection processor. Device for collecting includes collecting surface formed with a functionalised polymer containing a plurality of molecules having a functional group designed for attraction of mineral particles of interest to collecting surface. Functional group is intended to make surface of device for collecting hydrophobic. Synthetic material is selected from a group consisting of a derivative of siloxane, polydimethylsiloxane and polysiloxanes of hydrophobically modified ethyl hydroxy ethylcellulose.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of extraction of valuable materials from wastes.
