FIELD: cleaning device.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method for filtration and device for separation of particles, namely, separation of valuable metal from undesirable material in water containing mixture. Device for collection of mineral particles in suspension or wastes can be made in form of filter, conveyor belt, or impeller with storage section, comprising surface accumulation areas, intended for contact with mixture, and made of, or coated with synthetic material, which has functional group for attachment of mineral particles. Synthetic material has hydrophobic molecules to make storage section hydrophobic, at that synthetic material contains siloxane derivative. When mineral particles in suspension or wastes are combined with collector molecules, mineral particles also become hydrophobic and remain attached to hydrophobic storage section. Filter, conveyor belt, and impeller may have multiple flow-through channels in order to increase contact surfaces.
EFFECT: this approach provides better separation of valuable material, including in flotation chamber, by elimination of problems associated with using air bubbles in such separation process.
