FIELD: transport; machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway vehicles. Power is supplied to driven/braking wheel to drive or brake, number of revolutions of driven/braking wheel is detected indirectly, and with control system for power to drive or force for vehicle braking. Vehicle has an acceleration sensor, by means of which is picked up vehicle acceleration. Acceleration of driven/braking wheel is calculated from change in number of revolutions of driven/braking wheel. Power/force control system performs matching if acceleration of driven/braking wheel differs from vehicle acceleration.
EFFECT: prevention or minimisation of skidding and sliding and thus, improved use of power drive or partial load mode braking railway vehicle.
