FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy of scattered elements and represents method of extracting gallium from alkali-carbonate aluminium-containing solutions. Method involves extraction of gallium solution of nitrogen-containing extractant N-(2-hydroxy-5-nonilbenzil)-β,β-dihydroxyethylamine in diluents mixture containing octane with addition of 25 vol% of octanol. Then one performs separation of gallium from aluminium by re-extraction with NaOH solution with concentration of 4 mol/l.
EFFECT: increased extraction of gallium and high degree of separation of gallium from aluminium with combined extraction from alkali-carbonate solutions of alumina production.
