METHOD FOR EVALUATING ACTIVITY OF TUBERCULOSIS INFECTION IN CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC G01N33/535

Abstract RU 2586279 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to phthisiology, and can be used in assessing activity of tuberculosis infection in children and adolescents. For this purpose, specific antigens are added to a patient's whole blood sample: PPD-L, Rv2660c, ESAT-6, hybrid protein CFP10-ESAT-6. Level of IFN-γ in samples is determined 72 hours after adding specific antigens to blood. If level of IFN-γ rises -positive reaction to PPD-L, Rv2660c, ESAT-6 and negative - absence of change of level of IFN-γ on hybrid CFP10-ESAT-6 latent tuberculosis infection is diagnosed. For positive on PPD-L, Rv2660c, ESAT-6 and hybrid CFP10-ESAT-6 - active tuberculosis infection. For positive on PPD-L and negative simultaneously on Rv2660c, ESAT-6, hybrid CFP10-ESAT-6 - post-vaccination allergy.

EFFECT: use of present method provides differential diagnosis of latent and active tuberculosis infection in children, which enables early diagnosis and prescription of specific treatment.
