Mold comprises a molding surface for molding the tread surface of the tire. Part of the surface forming the tread surface has surface irregularities. Maximum peak height Rp of profile is from 5 to 70 microns. Recess of the mold has a hemispherical shape. Mean spacing between the recess local tops at the tire tread surface molding plane equals 5.0-100 mcm.
