FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tires for operation on ice and snow. Tire comprises tread surface, partially made with multiple jutting projections. Cross section of the projections is part of the sine wave. According to the first version, the diameter of the projections of semi-spherical shape gradually increases from outside to inside in radial direction. According to the second version, the height of projections makes from 1 to 50 mcm, and unevenness, averaged at ten points formed ledges on the tread surface varies from 1 to 50 mcm. Average interval between local peaks of projections is about 5 to 100 mcm. Die form for the tire comprises tread surface forming a partially made with multiple recesses.
EFFECT: improved operating performances on ice and snow-covered road due to formation of microstructures on tread surface.
