SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems of transmission for motor vehicles, particularly to control systems of vehicles with four drive wheels. Torque limitation system of four-wheel vehicle comprises controlled drive, made with possibility of distribution of torque to drive wheels, computing means to calculate at least one characteristic variable of vehicle operation and torque limiting module (2). Said module (2) includes means (23) for production of preset torque and means (21) deactivating torque limitation module depending on characteristic variables of engine operation.
EFFECT: method of limiting torque envisages both immediate and gradual deactivation of torque limitation module.
