FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transmissions of all-wheel drive vehicles. Claimed transmission system incorporates mechanical coupling for two transmission axles. After vehicle overcomes speed threshold during the time interval of 30 seconds to two minutes said transmission system is changed over from its off-highway mode to the other mode. Vehicle transmission system first axle is driven on default while second axle is driven optionally subject to operating conditions of aforesaid coupling.
EFFECT: improved operating performances.
