SUBSTANCE: for producing polysulphide bitumen raw material is prepared by vacuum distillation in vacuum column at residual pressure of column top 15-25 mm Hg, obtained tar is fed into buffer tank, where it is mixed with bitumen compound representing overoxidised bitumen with softening temperature Tsoft=50-60 °C, received from upper part of reactor, produced mixture is fed with oxidising temperature not lower than 170 °C in middle part of oxidation reactor under a mesh plate, where simultaneously with raw material is fed air mass in amount of up to 160 m3/t of raw material, oxidation reaction in area of primary oxidation is carried out at temperature of 215-230 °C for 8-35 minutes with subsequent reduction to 190-210 °C to obtain bitumen, mixing cooled to temperature 135-140 °C obtained bitumen with molten sulphur in amount of up to 10 % of weight of bitumen with subsequent thermal stabilisation at 135-140 °C for 60 minutes, then mixing produced sulphide bitumen with liquid stearic acid in amount of up to 8 % of weight of bitumen with subsequent thermal stabilisation for not less than 240 minutes to produce polysulphide bitumen.
EFFECT: obtained polysulphide bitumen has improved adhesion and cohesion properties, has a wide interval of plasticity and lower brittleness temperature.
