FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for synthesis of adsorption material consisting of single-phase tetravalent manganese feroxyhite (δ-Fe(1-x)MnxOOH), in which 0.05-25% of iron is isomorphically substituted with manganese atoms. Synthesis was carried out in a continuous flow reactor under slightly acidic conditions (pH 4-7) and high redox potential (300-800 mV).
EFFECT: obtained sorbent is recommended for removal of both pentavalent and trivalent arsenic.
