SUBSTANCE: pneumatic tire includes tread section (1), pair of side wall sections (2) and pair of bead sections (3), carcass layer (4), which is arranged between bead portions (3), tread section (1) has multilayer structure including upper layer (11A) of tread rubber and layer (11B) of rubber of subprotector, and adhesion index on snow of STI is 180 or more. Radius of tread (TR) in meridian cross-section of tread section (1) is in range from 80% to 140% of outer diameter of tire (OD), width of contact spot (TCW) of tread portion (1) with soil is in range from 66% to 83% of tire cross-section width (SW), and height (BFH) of bead filler (6) is 40% or less of tire cross-section height (SH).
EFFECT: improved characteristics of braking on ice and reduction of rolling resistance.
