FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to continuous production of titanium powder in medium of molten salt. Method involves reaction in reaction zone of first reactor of titanium tetrachloride TiCl4 in molten salts with reagents selected from particles of titanium, substoichiometric amount of reducing agent and mixture of titanium metal with substoichiometric amount of reducing agent to form titanium sub-chloride, titanium sub-chloride movement in melted salt from reaction zone of first reactor into reaction zone of second reactor by input placed at input of second reactor with provision of electric, ionic or electric and ion insulation of reaction zone of second reactor from the reaction zone of first reactor, interaction in a reaction zone of second reactor titanium sub-chloride with molten reducing metal to form dispersed titanium powder in molten salts. Disclosed also device for inputting titanium sub-chloride and titanium powder in molten salts into reaction zone of reactor.
EFFECT: reduced formation of lumps of titanium and elimination of blockage of supply line.
