FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to methods of producing titanium alloy materials. Material of titanium alloy is obtained by adding TiCl4 to incoming mixture at temperature of first reaction. Part of Ti4+ in TiCl4 is reduced to the first intermediate mixture which contains a solution of a salt based on AlCl3 and Ti3+ in form of TiCl3 (AlCl3)x, where x ranges from more than 0 to 10. Reaction medium is heated to the temperature of the second reaction, wherein a portion of Ti3+ of the first intermediate reaction mixture is reduced to the second intermediate reaction mixture. Second intermediate reaction mixture is a solution of AlCl3-based salt which contains Ti2+. Addition of TiCl4 to the incoming mixture at temperature of the first reaction and heating to temperature of the second reaction is performed successively in the reaction process. Second reaction mixture is additionally heated to temperature of third reaction, at which Ti2+ forms material of titanium alloy by disproportionation reaction.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain titanium alloy materials by improved processing techniques of the titanium tetrachloride reduction reaction in AlCl3 based reaction media.
