FIELD: packaging industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to containers for long-term storage and transportation of spent nuclear fuel. Method of protecting a container for transportation and/or storage of spent nuclear fuel includes application of anti-corrosion coating on internal surface of sleeve. Anticorrosion coating is applied by laser welding, and coating is a corrosion-resistant composition containing nickel. Furthermore, there are methods in which coating is applied by high-speed flame spraying, by electric arc metallisation and with help of plasma jet.
EFFECT: group of inventions improves operating characteristics of container due to application of protective corrosion-resistant composition.
