FIELD: nuclear physics and equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear engineering. Carrying case of transport packing set represents metal structure made in the form of stainless hollow cylinder with support disk perforated for hexagonal pipes-channels, inner part of which consists of stainless rack attached to the center, on which intermediate discs are fixed, with hexagonal pipes-channels installed in them for installation of spent fuel assemblies. Hexagonal pipes-channels represent solid stainless hexagonal pipes with hexagonal rings on them from boron-containing composite material on the basis of aluminum. On inner side of jacket shell arranged are made of boron-containing composite material based on aluminum and assembled from segments round neutron-absorbing rings. Free space from central post to shell is filled with aluminum melt.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of radiation protection.
