FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to repair of motor transport equipment and can be used for recovery of serviceability of heat-loaded elements, their gas ducts and exhaust systems. Method involves cleaning and degreasing of surface of defective area, forming circular band on it by winding heat-resistant material and its fixing at faulty section, wherein heat-resistant material band used is carbon fibre on basis of polyacrylonitrile providing resistance of band to temperatures of up to 1,400 °C. On cleaned and degreased surface of defective area polymer binder is applied, and circular shroud is formed by winding of said carbon fibre in several layers with thickness of each layer 0.5-2.0 mm, impregnating each layer with said polymer binder, winding of each next layer of band is performed after hardening of previous layer.

EFFECT: invention provides reliable closing defects in form of cracks, burnouts, holes, including large size on elements operated at excess pressures, at high temperatures and temperature drops, as well as in aggressive environments.
