FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to apparatus for measuring speed of solid bodies relative to fluids and can be used in navigation instruments making in designing and manufacturing of speed logs for displacement floating crafts. Electromagnetic speed log for complex measurements comprises rotary speed sensor with servo drive for determination of actual speed and direction of movement, a unit for determining instantaneous speed centre, a sensor of angular velocities, units of coordinates sensor log and specified "characteristic" measurement points.

EFFECT: possibility of determining speed and direction of any point of vessel, surface and submarine ship, as well as kinematic parameters of rolling in order to select optimum, safe driving mode, increasing efficiency of navigation and operation of onboard systems in difficult navigation conditions.
