SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geophysics and can be used for optimisation of works related to development of hydrocarbon deposits. Disclosed are methods for modelling stress around wellbore, comprising calibrating a geomechanical model that contains geological information related to subterranean zone, based on stress polygon method. Method includes generating an output signal based on state of stress of subterranean zone based on calibrated geomechanical model. In a first aspect, combinable with general embodiment, geometric calibration model based on stress polygon method is to consider that limit of unconfined compressive strength associated with underground area.

EFFECT: technical result is improved accuracy of obtained data.
