FIELD: acoustics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of audio signals. Invention discloses a device for positioning of the microphone, a device for generating a virtual output signal, a method of positioning a microphone, a computer-readable carrier for implementation of the method. Proposed device for positioning of a microphone comprises equipment for determining spatial power density and equipment for evaluating spatial information for estimating the position of the microphone, based on spatial power density; at that, the equipment for evaluating spatial information comprises equipment for evaluation of the centre of the audio scene, while the equipment for evaluating spatial information further includes equipment for calculating the position of the microphone, in which the equipment for evaluating spatial information comprises equipment for determining orientation of the microphone; at that, equipment for determining orientation is made with a possibility of determining the orientation of the microphone, based on spatial power density.

EFFECT: technical result consists in providing more accurate positioning of the microphone.
