FIELD: acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for reproducing an acoustic scene. In the method, a direct component signal is received that contains components of direct signals from two or more original audio signals. Also, a signal of diffuse components comprising components of diffuse signals from said two or more original audio signals is received. And the direction information is received, wherein said direction information depends on the direction of arrival of the direct signal components from the two or more original audio signals. One or more processed diffuse signals are generated depending on the signal of diffuse components. For each output audio signal from said one or more output audio signals, a direct sound gain is determined depending on the direction of arrival, said amplification of direct sound is applied to the signal of direct components to obtain a processed direct signal.
EFFECT: technical result is to improve the efficiency of audio signal processing.
